No, they want to punish the people who want to keep their things nice and hey, if you live in a dump, we will lower your taxes but hire more firefighters.

I swear all Democrats do is find ways to tax in order to steal from hard workers so they have more to give to people who do not work and they do it for only one reason; VOTES. They need to create even more DEPENDENT people on government so they keep coming for handouts and vote. America is being defeated by its own Government and people are so far whipped, they cannot even see it.

They should be fining households who leave their properties messy and dangerous. They should fine banks for holding vacant homes after a short time period. This would help markets and banks sell properties cheaper to flippers who can still salvage homes instead of banks holding vacant homes that become death traps for homeless or fire hazards.

Rewarding people without work is not helpful. We have 3rd and 4th generation welfare households now who have learned the ropes from their parents and just look forward to living off the government. The people and especially senior citizens who worked all their lives are the ones who do not get the help they need.

People who collect from the government (taxpayer) shoukd have to pass a drug test. The person earning the money has to pass a drug test so the bottom feeder should also pass a drug test.

People who DO NOT PAY INCOME TAX should not be able to vote. It is a no-brainer - If you are living on handouts, you are only going to vote for liberal bums like Obama.

Safe to say this song never will make it onto Dan Onorato's iPod.

While the Eagles were playing the Consol Energy Center on Tuesday night, Patrick Geho was in a Washington County house recording a reworked cover of the classic hit that closed the band's show: "Desperado."

Geho gave the lyrics a provincially Pennsylvanian makeover that focused on the governor's race between Democrat Onorato and Republican Tom Corbett. Geho's thesis is that, much like a desperado, Onorato has an affinity for taking other people's hard-earned money.

The opening verse:

Dan, you're the tax man

I know you've got your reasons

(But) these taxes that are pleasin' you have hurt us somehow."

It's unlikely that "Onorato" will do for Geho's musical career what "Desperado" did for the Eagles back in the '70s. But Geho, 40, past president of the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce and one-time aide to former Republican U.S. Rep. Melissa Hart, doesn't care.

"I'm just happy people seem to be getting a kick out of this," he said.

Geho was sitting around doing little on Sunday night when his muse arrived unannounced. Impolite, I know, but Geho wasn't irked by the impromptu visit.

"You know how you hear Billy Joel say he wrote a song in five minutes?" he said. "It was like that with me. The words just kind of flowed out."

The next day, he showed the lyrics to his brother, Jim Geho, who likes to play music when he isn't nabbing criminals in his day job as police chief in Hanover.

The chief had an idea. He made a few calls, and the next night the brothers visited the home of Hug McKinney, a Washington-area musician who fronts a band that bears his name.

"Hug borrowed a track recorder, and with his kids and his dog around, we recorded the song live right there in his living room," Patrick Geho said.

OLD VERSION

CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green...'

ACORN stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, "We shall overcome."

Then Rev. Jeremiah Wright has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

President Obama condemns the ant and blames President Bush, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper's plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, His home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn’t maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and once peaceful, neighborhood.

The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2010.

   A. They MUST retire. RESULT: Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.

   B. They MUST PURCHASE/LEASE a NEW AMERICAN MADE CAR.   RESULT: AUTO INDUSTRY FIXED - The only other way to fix it is BREAK UNIONS which is UNFAIR to union workers.

My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu . If people want a creche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Hurricane Katrina). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'

In light of recent events....Terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide.) We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said okay.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

During May 2009 congress adopted a bill that was to protect credit card holders from abusive rates and President Obama signed the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility, and Disclosure (CARD) Act of 2009, marking a turning point for American consumers and ending the days of unfair rate hikes and hidden fees.

This was just another scam similar to an insider trading move if you will, to alarm banks to gouge cardholders rates and fees prior to the execution of the bill which would not take place for many months. It does not take a rocket scientist to speculate any differently. They put this out there in May 2009 but did not execute it until February 2010 thus allowing banks a nine month gap to swindle cardholders before this bill goes into effect. The result of another failure by this administration as banks are raising annual percentage rates (apr) higher than ever in history and adding mandatory annual fees to cardholders whether you have great credit and never been late or not.

Is it surprising this bill is a joke and actually caused rates and fees to sky rocket? Why did congress and the almighty Obama put this out there like a piece of cheese dangling above a mouse trap allowing nine months for banks to betray the taxpayer even more. The Obama Administration practically handed bank executives bonuses using taxpayer’s money in the aspect to allegedly bail banks out only to repay the taxpayer by raising astronomically the cardholder rates and fees. The only logic is banks, congress, The Federal Reserve, and White House all work together and once again scammed and betrayed the American People.

The reason I mention middle class democrats in the title is because logically the middle class takes the blunt of this and democrats refuse to open their eyes to witness the democrat party was taken over by a bad virus called: Extreme Liberalism. Their goal is to grow government, limit freedom, dispel God, and ruin America. I hope this hits home because it has to hurt in your pocketbooks and this is only the beginning.

Let me explain why the middle class gets the worse of this; look the majority of people on Medicaid (government benefits) can’t get approved for a credit card anyway, so once again, they say, “If it’s free then I am in”. This doesn’t attack anyone well off because if you have money then you would not carry a credit card balance anyway. As I write this, I want you to know that I do not carry a credit card balance hence, I use credit cards but pay my balances in full monthly thus, saving me any finance charges however, I have as well been notified of my rates increasing. This won’t affect me no matter how high they raise it because I don’t keep a balance. So to reiterate, anyone whom carries a credit card balance will be affected by this bureaucratic conspiracy.

In addition, the credit card companies are offering an opt-out; yes something similar to the ridiculous public option in health care. You can elect to deny the rate increase however, you lose use of your card and of course still have to pay the balance but at your current rate. Here’s the kicker; even when you close a card that you had opened, it negatively affects your credit score. So just how the government likes it; you are damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

No matter how you slice it this is nothing less than theft by deception. I know somewhere in small print they are protected but does that make it right? You present government made it look like they were going to strong arm banks and help cardholders but it was all a deception to alienate cardholders and unfortunately, the blunt of the sufferers will be hard working Americans. The same people Obama promised to never raise taxes on are the ones that will be taking it the hardest. The saddest part is Obama and this administration all knew what they were doing. Additionally, one way to reform welfare would be to have drug testing. Thats right, in order to receive governmental aid, everyone should have a drug screening to be eligible. Like a lot of folks in this country, I have a job. I WORK AND GET PAID.

I PAY MY TAXES and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a RANDOM URINE TEST with which I have no problem.

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to EARN IT for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ASS, doing drugs, while I work. . . .

Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

"Nothing," the student replies. "I only have my faith."
"Yes, faith," the professor repeats. "And that is the problem science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith."

At the back of the room another student stands quietly for a moment before
asking a question of His own. "Professor, is there such thing as heat?"

"Yes," the professor replies. "There's heat."

"And is there such a thing as cold?"
"Yes, son, there's cold too."

"No sir, there isn't."

The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested. The room
suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain. "You can have
lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, unlimited heat, white
heat, a little heat or no heat, but we don't have anything called 'cold'. We
can hit up to 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any
further after that. There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the lowest -458 degrees."

"Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat. You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it."

Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom, sounding like a hammer.

"What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as darkness?"

"Yes," the professor replies without hesitation. "What is night if it isn't darkness?"

"You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light,but if you have no light constantly you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to define the word."

"In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness
darker, wouldn't you?"

The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him. This will be a good semester. "So what point are you making, young man?"

"Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed."

The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time. "Flawed? Can you explain how?"

"You are working on the premise of duality," the student explains. "You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought."

"It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it."

"Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?"

"If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young man, yes, of course I do."

"Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?"

The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.

"Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a preacher?"

The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the commotion has subsided.

"To continue the point you were making earlier to the other student, let me give you an example of what I mean."

The student looks around the room. "Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the professor's brain?" The class breaks out into laughter.

"Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain, felt the professor's brain, touched or smelt the professor's brain? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, with all due respect, sir."

"So if science says you have no brain, how can we trust your lectures, sir?"

Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the student, his face unreadable.

Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. "I guess you'll have to take them on faith."

"Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists with life," the student continues. "Now, sir, is there such a thing as evil?"

Now uncertain, the professor responds, "Of course, there is. We see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

The professor sat down.

Soldier doubts eligibility, defies president's orders

'As an officer, my sworn oath to support and defend our Constitution requires this'

A U.S. soldier on active duty in Iraq has called President Obama an "impostor" in a statement in which he affirmed plans to join as plaintiff in a challenge to Obama's eligibility to be commander in chief.

The statement was publicized by California attorney Orly Taitz who, along with her Defend Our Freedom Foundation, is working on a series of legal cases seeking to uncover Obama's birth records and other documents that would reveal whether he meets the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

"As an active-duty officer in the United States Army, I have grave concerns about the constitutional eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to hold the office of president of the United States," wrote Scott Easterling in a "to-whom-it-may-concern" letter.

Obama "has absolutely refused to provide to the American public his original birth certificate, as well as other documents which may prove or disprove his eligibility," Easterling wrote. "In fact, he has fought every attempt made by concerned citizens in their effort to force him to do so."

Taitz told WND she had advised Easterling to obtain legal counsel before making any statements regarding the commander-in-chief, but he insisted on moving forward. His contention is that as an active member of the U.S. military, he is required to follow orders from a sitting president, and he needs – on pain of court-martial – to know that Obama is eligible.

Taitz said other legal cases questioning Obama's eligibility filed by members of the military mostly have included retired officers, and courts several times have ruled they don't have standing to issue their challenge.

Easterling, however, is subject to enemy fire and certainly would have a reason to need to know the legitimacy of his orders, she argued.

"Until Mr. Obama releases a 'vault copy' of his original birth certificate for public review, I will consider him neither my Commander in Chief nor my President, but rather, a usurper to the Office – an impostor," his statement said.

Easterling said he joined the Army at age 40 after working in Iraq as a contractor.

"I chose to work … to support my troops and then left that lucrative position when the Army raised its maximum enlistment age to 40. Upon completion of basic training, I entered Officer Candidate School and commissioned as a 2LT in August 2007. After completing the subsequent basic officer leadership courses, I was assigned to Ft. Knox and shortly thereafter deployed to Balad, Iraq," he wrote.

"I implore all service-members and citizens to contact their senators and representatives and demand that they require Mr. Obama prove his eligibility. Our Constitution and our great nation must not be allowed to be disgraced," he wrote.

Taitz said Easterling is among the plaintiffs she is assembling for a new legal action over Obama's eligibility. Others include a list of state lawmakers who also would be required in their official position to follow orders of the president.

"My conviction is such that I am compelled to join Dr. Orly Taitz's lawsuit, as a plaintiff, against Mr. Obama. As a citizen, it pains me to do this, but as an officer, my sworn oath to support and defend our Constitution requires this action," he said.

Easterling was "saluted" in a forum on Taitz' website.

"Lt. Easterling, As a retired US Army SFC, I salute you sir as a true American patriot and hero! Thank you for your unselfish service to our country. It is rare to find someone today with such moral courage to do the right thing regardless of repercussions," said one contributor.

Said another, "For your voluntary service to our country, we owe you a debt we can never pay."

As WND reported yesterday, U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., said during a meeting with constituents in Cullman County he has never seen proof the new president was born in Hawaii.

"Well, his father was Kenyan and they said he was born in Hawaii, but I haven't seen any birth certificate," Shelby said. "You have to be born in America to be president."

Shelby's office later stated the senator is confident of Obama's vetting process, although it did not elaborate.

WND has reported on multiple legal challenges to Obama's status as a "natural born citizen." The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."

Some of the lawsuits question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.

Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.

Here is a partial listing and status update for some of the cases over Obama's eligibility:

New Jersey attorney Mario Apuzzo has filed a case on behalf of Charles Kerchner and others alleging Congress didn't properly ascertain that Obama is qualified to hold the office of president.

Philip J. Berg, a Pennsylvania Democrat, demanded that the courts verify Obama's original birth certificate and other documents proving his American citizenship. Berg's latest appeal, requesting an injunction to stop the Electoral College from selecting the 44th president, was denied.

Leo Donofrio of New Jersey filed a lawsuit claiming Obama's dual citizenship disqualified him from serving as president. His case was considered in conference by the U.S. Supreme Court but denied a full hearing.

Cort Wrotnowski filed suit against Connecticut's secretary of state, making a similar argument to Donofrio. His case was considered in conference by the U.S. Supreme Court, but was denied a full hearing.

Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes headlines a list of people filing a suit in California, in a case handled by the United States Justice Foundation, that asks the secretary of state to refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office. The case is pending, and lawyers are seeking the public's support.

Chicago attorney Andy Martin sought legal action requiring Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle to release Obama's vital statistics record. The case was dismissed by Hawaii Circuit Court Judge Bert Ayabe.

Lt. Col. Donald Sullivan sought a temporary restraining order to stop the Electoral College vote in North Carolina until Barack Obama's eligibility could be confirmed, alleging doubt about Obama's citizenship. His case was denied.

In Ohio, David M. Neal sued to force the secretary of state to request documents from the Federal Elections Commission, the Democratic National Committee, the Ohio Democratic Party and Obama to show the presidential candidate was born in Hawaii. The case was denied.

In Washington state, Steven Marquis sued the secretary of state seeking a determination on Obama's citizenship. The case was denied.

In Georgia, Rev. Tom Terry asked the state Supreme Court to authenticate Obama's birth certificate. His request for an injunction against Georgia's secretary of state was denied by Georgia Superior Court Judge Jerry W. Baxter.

California attorney Orly Taitz has brought a case, Lightfoot vs. Bowen, on behalf of Gail Lightfoot, the vice presidential candidate on the ballot with Ron Paul, four electors and two registered voters.

SANTA FE, N.M. - Former astronaut Harrison Schmitt, who walked on the moon and once served New Mexico in the U.S. Senate, doesn’t believe that humans are causing global warming.
"I don’t think the human effect is significant compared to the natural effect," said Schmitt, who is among 70 skeptics scheduled to speak next month at the International Conference on Climate Change in New York.
Schmitt contends that scientists "are being intimidated" if they disagree with the idea that burning fossil fuels has increased carbon dioxide levels, temperatures and sea levels.
"They’ve seen too many of their colleagues lose grant funding when they haven’t gone along with the so-called political consensus that we’re in a human-caused global warming," Schmitt said.
Dan Williams, publisher with the Chicago-based Heartland Institute, which is hosting the climate change conference, said he invited Schmitt after reading about his resignation from The Planetary Society, a nonprofit dedicated to space exploration.
Schmitt resigned after the group blamed global warming on human activity. In his resignation letter, the 74-year-old geologist argued that the "global warming scare is being used as a political tool to increase government control over American lives, incomes and decision making."
Williams said Heartland is skeptical about the crisis that people are proclaiming in global warming.
"Not that the planet hasn’t warmed. We know it has or we’d all still be in the Ice Age," he said. "But it has not reached a crisis proportion and, even among us skeptics, there’s disagreement about how much man has been responsible for that warming."
Schmitt said historical documents indicate average temperatures have risen by 1 degree per century since around 1400 A.D., and the rise in carbon dioxide is because of the temperature rise.
Schmitt also said geological evidence indicates changes in sea level have been going on for thousands of years. He said smaller changes are related to changes in the elevation of land masses — for example, the Great Lakes are rising because the earth’s crust is rebounding from being depressed by glaciers.
Schmitt, who grew up in Silver City and now lives in Albuquerque, has a science degree from the California Institute of Technology. He also studied geology at the University of Oslo in Norway and took a doctorate in geology from Harvard University in 1964.
In 1972, he was one of the last men to walk on the moon as part of the Apollo 17 mission.
Schmitt said he’s heartened that the upcoming conference is made up of scientists who haven’t been manipulated by politics.
Of the global warming debate, he said: "It’s one of the few times you’ve seen a sizable portion of scientists who ought to be objective take a political position and it’s coloring their objectivity."

Why should Veterans Be Honored

Joining any branch of The U.S. military requires taking an oath to protect the Constitution, America and its citizens. Every member of the military has taken an oath to protect all of us to the death. Like anything else, some of us become complacent not realizing military personnel, both past and present, are why we have freedom. A lot of Americans take our freedom for granted, like it is owed to us, free, without a price. It is never without a price as our veterans and present military personnel provide us freedom, sometimes not only by their diligence, hard work, devotion, and training, but, sometimes freedom is paid for by their lives.

Our veterans and military are representatives of the American People and led by the commander in chief or POTUS (President of the United States). These brave men and women are asked to fight possibly giving their life to protect our freedom and build democracy throughout the world. They put their own lives on hold, leave their loving family, and perform whatever mission is ordered without reward. Like President Reagan stated, "Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world; but, the Marines don't have that problem."

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We don't pass it to our children through genetics or the bloodstream. It must be relentlessly fought for, protected, and handed on to generation after generation for them to do the same. Veterans have paid the price for our freedom; often at the highest price imaginable, their life. I honor and thank every past and present military personnel who have forfeited his/her own lives to provide me with everlasting freedom so I can enjoy my life.

Veterans should be honored as the backbone of America. They provide us with all the freedoms’ and rights’ we have including; right to "freedom of speech" that unfortunately some use to pathetically protest even against our own troops and leaders. We have no rights in America, only privileges that we take for granted. Without the devoted work of our veterans, and the blessing of god, these privileges that we call rights would not exist. In ending, remember to exercise all your rights as an American but don’t forget to honor veterans who paid for freedom.

If the current polls hold, Barack Obama will win the White House on November 4 and Democrats will consolidate their Congressional majorities, probably with a filibuster-proof Senate or very close to it. Without the ability to filibuster, the Senate would become like the House, able to pass whatever the majority wants.
Though we doubt most Americans realize it, this would be one of the most profound political and ideological shifts in U.S. history. Liberals would dominate the entire government in a way they haven't since 1965, or 1933. In other words, the election would mark the restoration of the activist government that fell out of public favor in the 1970s. If the U.S. really is entering a period of unchecked left-wing ascendancy, Americans at least ought to understand what they will be getting, especially with the media cheering it all on.

The nearby table shows the major bills that passed the House this year or last before being stopped by the Senate minority. Keep in mind that the most important power of the filibuster is to shape legislation, not merely to block it. The threat of 41 committed Senators can cause the House to modify its desires even before legislation comes to a vote. Without that restraining power, all of the following have very good chances of becoming law in 2009 or 2010.
- Medicare for all. When HillaryCare cratered in 1994, the Democrats concluded they had overreached, so they carved up the old agenda into smaller incremental steps, such as Schip for children. A strongly Democratic Congress is now likely to lay the final flagstones on the path to government-run health insurance from cradle to grave.
Mr. Obama wants to build a public insurance program, modeled after Medicare and open to everyone of any income. According to the Lewin Group, the gold standard of health policy analysis, the Obama plan would shift between 32 million and 52 million from private coverage to the huge new entitlement. Like Medicare or the Canadian system, this would never be repealed.

The commitments would start slow, so as not to cause immediate alarm. But as U.S. health-care spending flowed into the default government options, taxes would have to rise or services would be rationed, or both. Single payer is the inevitable next step, as Mr. Obama has already said is his ultimate ideal.

- The business climate. "We have some harsh decisions to make," Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned recently, speaking about retribution for the financial panic. Look for a replay of the Pecora hearings of the 1930s, with Henry Waxman, John Conyers and Ed Markey sponsoring ritual hangings to further their agenda to control more of the private economy. The financial industry will get an overhaul in any case, but telecom, biotech and drug makers, among many others, can expect to be investigated and face new, more onerous rules. See the "Issues and Legislation" tab on Mr. Waxman's Web site for a not-so-brief target list.

The danger is that Democrats could cause the economic downturn to last longer than it otherwise will by enacting regulatory overkill like Sarbanes-Oxley. Something more punitive is likely as well, for instance a windfall profits tax on oil, and maybe other industries.

- Union supremacy. One program certain to be given right of way is "card check." Unions have been in decline for decades, now claiming only 7.4% of the private-sector work force, so Big Labor wants to trash the secret-ballot elections that have been in place since the 1930s. The "Employee Free Choice Act" would convert workplaces into union shops merely by gathering signatures from a majority of employees, which means organizers could strongarm those who opposed such a petition.
The bill also imposes a compulsory arbitration regime that results in an automatic two-year union "contract" after 130 days of failed negotiation. The point is to force businesses to recognize a union whether the workers support it or not. This would be the biggest pro-union shift in the balance of labor-management power since the Wagner Act of 1935.

- Taxes. Taxes will rise substantially, the only question being how high. Mr. Obama would raise the top income, dividend and capital-gains rates for "the rich," substantially increasing the cost of new investment in the U.S. More radically, he wants to lift or eliminate the cap on income subject to payroll taxes that fund Medicare and Social Security. This would convert what was meant to be a pension insurance program into an overt income redistribution program. It would also impose a probably unrepealable increase in marginal tax rates, and a permanent shift upward in the federal tax share of GDP.

- The green revolution. A tax-and-regulation scheme in the name of climate change is a top left-wing priority. Cap and trade would hand Congress trillions of dollars in new spending from the auction of carbon credits, which it would use to pick winners and losers in the energy business and across the economy. Huge chunks of GDP and millions of jobs would be at the mercy of Congress and a vast new global-warming bureaucracy. Without the GOP votes to help stage a filibuster, Senators from carbon-intensive states would have less ability to temper coastal liberals who answer to the green elites.

- Free speech and voting rights. A liberal supermajority would move quickly to impose procedural advantages that could cement Democratic rule for years to come. One early effort would be national, election-day voter registration. This is a long-time goal of Acorn and others on the "community organizer" left and would make it far easier to stack the voter rolls. The District of Columbia would also get votes in Congress -- Democratic, naturally.

Felons may also get the right to vote nationwide, while the Fairness Doctrine is likely to be reimposed either by Congress or the Obama FCC. A major goal of the supermajority left would be to shut down talk radio and other voices of political opposition.

- Special-interest potpourri. Look for the watering down of No Child Left Behind testing standards, as a favor to the National Education Association. The tort bar's ship would also come in, including limits on arbitration to settle disputes and watering down the 1995 law limiting strike suits. New causes of legal action would be sprinkled throughout most legislation. The anti-antiterror lobby would be rewarded with the end of Guantanamo and military commissions, which probably means trying terrorists in civilian courts. Google and MoveOn.org would get "net neutrality" rules, subjecting the Internet to intrusive regulation for the first time.

It's always possible that events -- such as a recession -- would temper some of these ambitions. Republicans also feared the worst in 1993 when Democrats ran the entire government, but it didn't turn out that way. On the other hand, Bob Dole then had 43 GOP Senators to support a filibuster, and the entire Democratic Party has since moved sharply to the left. Mr. Obama's agenda is far more liberal than Bill Clinton's was in 1992, and the Southern Democrats who killed Al Gore's BTU tax and modified liberal ambitions are long gone.

In both 1933 and 1965, liberal majorities imposed vast expansions of government that have never been repealed, and the current financial panic may give today's left another pretext to return to those heydays of welfare-state liberalism. Americans voting for "change" should know they may get far more than they ever imagined.

Senator Obama says that he wanted to spread your wealth around. When politicians talk about taking your money and spreading it around, you'd better hold onto your wallet. Senator Obama claims that wants to give a tax break to the middle class, but not only did he vote for higher taxes on the middle class in the Senate, his plan gives away your tax dollars to those who don't pay taxes.

That's not a tax cut, that's welfare. America didn't become the greatest nation on earth by redistributing wealth; we became the greatest nation by creating new wealth.
The fact is that almost 45% of Americans do not even pay tax. In fact, the collect EIC (earned income tax) and already get checks from the IRS up to $5,000.00. Of course, you need to have children and show minimal income.

This is the choice that we face. These are hard times. Our economy is in crisis. Americans are fighting in two wars. We face many enemies in this dangerous world, and many challenges here at home. Please imagine our country being run by Obama, Pelosi, and Reid. You are looking for change and this change will be one you wish you never created.

Obama and the Democrats Push to Influence Our Children

Let's face it, we as parents always put our children's needs first. Doesn't it go to say by electing The President of the United States, we need to think more about our children's future than ourselves? After all we are all promised big changes by democrats that never occur. Pelosi and the democrats have controlled congress for almost 2 years and although they made many promises for change, nothing has occurred.

We are all well aware of the importance our teachers bring who teach and program our children. Parents and teachers have a profound effect on how are children will think and behave. Furthermore, we also know how important it is for our children to be surrounded with other well behaved positive thinking children from well rounded families.

It is no secret that Democratic President nominee Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of extremely angry, militant, known fanatic people including: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We want to brush aside these conclusions as attacks and believe Mr. Obama, but, how can we? Are you really to believe that we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry? This type of teaching plays a rule in anyone whom has endured it. Who is anyone kidding that Mr. Obama won't run this country in the mindset of his teachers.

The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign featuring change and containing subliminal messages that promote a God-like figure in Obama who falls short in every way. The only change is a dangerous one. It only makes sense that if Obama wins the presidential election, then power will shift and the master teachers of our children will include twisted messengers; Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger. They will gain the power to change America forever and their quest to demoralize this country, create a socialist America, and limit your freedom immensely.

Socialism does not work and we have many examples to look at. Socialism is a more gentle way of conducting communism however; do not get it wrong, they go hand in hand. This is the reason Democrats are targeting young people, our children. Being a product of this teaching, they know how easy it is to program the minds of children. Making our leader appear young, hip, and cool to attract the young vote is all the wrong reasons. Sadly enough, the democrat party as we once knew is obsolete. This disease, "liberalism" has eaten away at most of the democrat party. Why else do they choose to nominate the most liberal, untraditional, extreme Marxism candidates?

Think about it and research past candidates to understand this all began even before Jimmy Carter. If it wasn't for republicans fighting back and filling the void for democrats, this liberalism would have spread much faster. Many current leaders now, who marched and protested our soldiers in the Vietnam era are very powerful today in their work to bring down the Iraq war, attack our president, rid the country of God, and throw our freedom and capitalism down the drain. What better source than to find their way into our schools to poison our children’s minds and gain popularity in their votes to control our government. A known dear friend of barrack Obama's, William Ayers is a prime example of this. Our military and strong leaders remain focused and have fought off the attacks of "liberalism". They protect our freedom and democracy under the help of God as we had been founded in America. Whether you believe in Jesus, as the son of God or not, there is certainly enough documentation to prove he was a wise and sincere teacher with many following. This is a teacher I want my children to learn from. There is no comparison to these fanatics Obama has in his closet.

President Bush uses faith to aid him in his decision-making and luckily he is so forthright to abscond from negative pressuring and he stayed focus to win in Iraq. This positive direction in Iraq is a huge victory in America as well because the democrat party wanted us to lose so very bad. To hear Obama change his mind and go from ending this war immediately, to now, ending it responsibly and finishing the war with a victory is something that was hard for him to say. If George Bush wasn't so relentless and steadfast in his beliefs and would have caved into the democrats wishes, we would have mass hysteria and the democrats would have much ammunition to help win the election.

If you haven't figured it out, the democrats will do anything to win. The leadership of Gen. David Petraeus, also brought hope and stability to Iraq and prevented the terrorists from reuniting in Iraq or elsewhere for that matter, because, they are on the run. We should admire and learn from our soldiers who demonstrate patriotism at a time when most of us have almost forgotten who we are, what we stand for, and what is at stake.

If Barrack Obama and the democrat party had their way, they would have kept denouncing this war even if it meant endangering our soldiers just to gain power and win the 08’ presidential election. Obama would have pulled our troops from Iraq severely discrediting and injuring our military reputation throughout the world. Not to mention this would have initiated an unprecedented bloodbath to the Iraqi's and created a breeding ground for terrorists with one common goal; Kill Americans, Israeli's, and Western supporters.

Obama has openly stated how he would conduct our military in a time of war: quit and return home. He apparently lacks understanding about the true nature of our enemies which is extremely dangerous. How can we accept any notion that Obama is capable of keeping us safe from the terrorists around the world and protect our country as well as our allies.

Russia is just waiting for America to weaken so they can reek havoc on democratic nations such as; Ukraine, Poland, Georgia, etc. I have often believed Russia was befriending the Middle East, especially Iran, to gain power like the old Soviet Union. Iran is quickly making great strides toward getting the atomic bomb which would not be possible without Russia's help. Russia was waiting for America to fail in Iraq so they could swoop in and gain power with the most evil of governments.

Doesn't that scare you that most evil governments wanted to see us fail in Iraq and our own democratic party shared this desire? Look at the facts instead of letting the media sensationalize Obama and make your own decision. Look where Obama comes from, (teachings) how he has voted, and always says whatever it is to sound great even if it is completely opposite from what he originally has said.

This is a perilous time and only getting worse with the rise of the "old Soviet Union" and a possible nuclear Iran. Right now more than ever, the world needs a united and strong America. America rose out of nowhere and many have given their life to make us great.

Listen to the dead, stay strong and united to keep a free and democratic United States and continue pursuing freedom for the world. Obama and the democrats are waiting time bombs.

If you’ve ever wanted some tried and true methods for building your list, you’ll want to bookmark this page immediately. Because we’re going to cover 64 ways you can begin to build your subscriber base TODAY!

1. If you don’t have a newsletter yet, start one. People always want to learn more about their topic of interest. GetResponse is a great web-based email marketing software for publishing newsletters and hosting your mailing lists.
2. Add a subscription form to every page of your website.
3. Make it quick and easy for your visitors to sign up. A first name and email address is all you need initially.
4. Be sure to state your privacy policy in your subscription box. Or add a link to a seperate privacy policy page right next to your subscription form.
5. Be clear, persuasive and honest as to what your subscribers will receive and why your visitor will gain by subscribing.
6. Tell them how often they can expect to receive your newsletter or other emails. Do not inundate them.

Some owners of content sites are earning four and even five-figure incomes per month selling "nothing." They're doing this by selling their targeted traffic to other websites through Google's AdSense program.
If you're not familiar with (r)AdSense, it's where (r)Google pays website owners ("publishers") to run ads on their sites. Google accepts paid ads from advertisers, and then shares this revenue with the publishers who allow these ads to be displayed on their sites. They pay based upon clicks generated from the publishers' sites.
Many publishers have discovered that running Google AdSense ads is more lucrative, and less trouble, than marketing their own products or services. So an entire industry has sprang up around monetizing websites using AdSense and other pay-per-click programs.
The "industry" is mature enough that seminars are even held that teach how to best monetize your content sites. Since MOST people I've communicated with aren't earning four or five-figure incomes per month, let's examine how you increase your chances of earning these amounts.
First of all, your website has to be on a topic (a niche) where people are spending lots of money. There are niches where advertisers often spend $40 - $50 per click... just to get visitors to their websites. Obviously, these visitors buy "things" on these websites that make it worthwhile to pay that much for the traffic.
In case you're wondering what keywords any "sane" marketer would spend $50 on a single click for, read on...
Certain visitors to websites, that later convert to customers, could literally be worth thousands, even millions, to marketers. These marketers know the lifetime value of their visitors, and have the conversion rates calculated! Markets where customers can be this lucrative include legal/lawsuits, medical, higher education, real estate, new and used vehicles, investments, travel, and products offering residual income. There are many others.
I actually have a list of over 9000 keywords that I consult when building a new site, or optimizing an existing site. Doesn't it makes perfect sense to create sites that attract visitors with a high value-per-visitor?

The keywords on the list above range from 93 cents to $108 per click. There ARE higher priced keywords but you probably don't want to focus on them since the competition can be incredibly cutthroat. There are niches where your competitors will actually sabotage your efforts. Money does that to some people :-)
It makes economic sense to build a site around topics where people are actually spending money already.
It makes sense to target a market where people have money to spend - and they expect to spend it on products similar to yours. In that sense, you can even set up site designed to generate traffic for governmental agencies, foundations, charities, etc. It's all about getting in front of the traffic and then re-directing that traffic to those willing to pay for it.
When setting up content sites, it's important that you not violate the terms-of-service at the pay-per-click management firm that you plan on using. For example, Google actually tells you that you should not build sites just for their AdSense program. Yet, they need sites to display their customers' ads in order for their program to work.
It's a delicate balancing act. Google wants to deliver relevant clicks to their customers. They know that traffic coming from "junky" or "spammy" sites may not convert as well for their customers. This would lower their customers ROI, and lead to many unhappy customers. This would drive Google's customers to their ever-growing competitors.
Google wants webmasters that have quality, targeted traffic to run AdSense Ads. When you set up a free blog on Google's Blogger.com they even have the AdSense invitation "programmed" into the signup process.
So how DO you win the Google AdSense War and get your share of that multi-billion dollar advertisers' revenue stream? You build high-quality content sites that focus on niches where people are spending money. It's as simple as that. You let those already doing it teach you what works best - it's a easy as that!

Success begins at home! Why do parents allow their children to act in poor behaviors? Bill Cosby hits the nail right on the head. It is not about Race. It is about parents letting their children dress inappropriately or wear their pants down, wear gang colors, use slang speech, do not learn to read, pierings / tattoos are everywhere, etc. I mean who is going to hire these clowns???

The truth is: By raising your child without manners, ethics, or discipline is really selling he/she short. They need guidance, confidence, and reassurance. Don't be their best friend - Be a Parent or you can almost guarantee your child will end up; Dead, in prison, or in poverty!!!

Quit playing the victim and looking for pity. You have children. Raise them with dignity.

Banks Controlling Credit card Purchases

It was the day before March Madness 2008 begins so I kept some time open to examine the brackets and make a small wager on teams I like, that was, until my credit card was denied.

I just contacted Household Bank, my credit card company, in regards to their denying my $100.00 deposit into an online sports wagering site. I spoke to a customer service representative who told me that several credit card companies have blocked using credit cards for gambling. Even though I have excellent history with them, I am not responsible enough to decide where and how I wish to spend my money.

I am appalled at this ludicrous debauchery dictating where and how I wish to spend my money. This is a cross between socialism and dictatorship and although this particular agenda may not inconvenience those who are not sport enthusiasts, it is a sign of where this country is headed. It is becoming more and more a liberal dictatorship. This country was founded under God and the Declarations of Independence was signed under God. God is under attack as well but it is a much larger issue because thankfully, there are still many believers and worshipers of God. This is the master plan; to eliminate God, build government, and socialize this great nation. Quelling online wagering by blocking credit cards is just another victory and step in conquering our freedom. This may seem like an extreme example, but is it really? Every holiday there is an attack on God and the bible. Homosexuality, an obvious abnormality, is being promoted by the media and Hollywood. Drugs and porn are still increasing with no sign of relief.

I cannot wager with a reputable company online but I can join porn sites and buy from online drug dealers with no problems. How does this make sense?
The truly twisted hypocrisy gambling is on such a rise in America. There are casinos opening everywhere. I guess it is alright because once again, governments (Fed, state, & local) are raking in profits.
I mean if we want to regulate people, let’s start shutting their cards off at restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Obesity is the biggest problem we face and while all these obese persons sit around making decisions about others, they fail to stop and look at themselves. My intentions are not to insult anyone. I am just searching for answers and see if anyone understands what I am saying. Look at the bigger picture here, if this is not a violation on our freedoms, then please outline to me, what is?

Listen even if you are not a gambler, this issue proves the control governments and banks are putting on us. Furthermore, the web is filled with porn.

How can credit cards be accepted at porn sites over a gambling site?

Why is America becoming so dependent on gambling? Local governments are passing and opening casinos across the whole country?

It is even hard to find a local bookmaker these days because they ran them all out but every other street corner a drug deal is going down. I understand gambling can be a serious problem for some but it is a back seat to many other legal vices. Alcohol has probably wrecked more families than anything; yet, I could go into a liquor store and max my credit card out. I can buy all the cigarettes I want, drinks at a night club, solicit prostitution through an escort service, and even purchase illegal drugs over the internet all with my credit card but I am unable to deposit a simple $100.00 to enjoy one of my favorite sporting events, March Madness.

Gambling is increasing growth every where in America yet, new laws prohibit online gambling. People do many things over and above what they should do but they are not controlled by where and how they spend their money. Credit card companies are trying to control our freedoms by not allowing participation in online wagering. We are in the biggest epidemic of house foreclosures because people over do things. People are losing homes because banks let them re-mortgage over their heads. So please do not tell me they are monitoring our credit card purchases for our own good.

WARNING: This company may have several different sites - I am in process of checking that out. They took my money, quit responding, and never even sent me a report. Sometimes people will complain about a money-making program labeling it as fraud. This is a huge difference. I have learned that although a lot of people advertise by exaggeration but are not a fraud. Remember, making money on the internet is not easy. No program makes you rich!!

Scammers Taking Aim IRS Refunds

IRS Warns of New E-Mail and Telephone Scams Using the IRS Name; Advance Payment Scams Starting

IR-2008-11, Jan. 30, 2008

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service today warned taxpayers to beware of several current e-mail and telephone scams that use the IRS name as a lure. The IRS expects such scams to continue through the end of tax return filing season and beyond.

The IRS cautioned taxpayers to be on the lookout for scams involving proposed advance payment checks. Although the government has not yet enacted an economic stimulus package in which the IRS would provide advance payments, known informally as rebates to many Americans, a scam which uses the proposed rebates as bait has already cropped up.

The goal of the scams is to trick people into revealing personal and financial information, such as Social Security, bank account or credit card numbers, which the scammers can use to commit identity theft.

Typically, identity thieves use a victim’s personal and financial data to empty the victim’s financial accounts, run up charges on the victim’s existing credit cards, apply for new loans, credit cards, services or benefits in the victim’s name, file fraudulent tax returns or even commit crimes. Most of these fraudulent activities can be committed electronically from a remote location, including overseas. Committing these activities in cyberspace allows scamsters to act quickly and cover their tracks before the victim becomes aware of the theft.

People whose identities have been stolen can spend months or years — and their hard-earned money — cleaning up the mess thieves have made of their reputations and credit records. In the meantime, victims may lose job opportunities, may be refused loans, education, housing or cars, or even get arrested for crimes they didn't commit.

The most recent scams brought to IRS attention are described below.

Rebate Phone Call
At least one scheme using the word “rebate” as part of the lure has been identified. In that scam, consumers receive a phone call from someone identifying himself as an IRS employee. The caller tells the targeted victim that he is eligible for a sizable rebate for filing his taxes early. The caller then states that he needs the target’s bank account information for the direct deposit of the rebate. If the target refuses, he is told that he cannot receive the rebate.

This phone call is a scam. No legislation has yet been enacted that would allow the IRS to provide advance payments to taxpayers or that determines the details of those payments. Moreover, the IRS does not force taxpayers to use direct deposit. Those who opt for direct deposit do so by completing the appropriate section of their tax return, with bank routing and account information, when they file; the IRS does not gather the information by telephone.

The IRS has seen several variations of a refund-related bogus e-mail which falsely claims to come from the IRS, tells the recipient that he or she is eligible for a tax refund for a specific amount, and instructs the recipient to click on a link in the e-mail to access a refund claim form. The form asks the recipient to enter personal information that the scamsters can then use to access the e-mail recipient’s bank or credit card account.

In a new wrinkle, the current version of the refund scam includes two paragraphs that appear to be directed toward tax-exempt organizations that distribute funds to other organizations or individuals. The e-mail contains the name and supposed signature of the Director of the IRS’s Exempt Organizations business division.

This e-mail is a phony. The IRS does not send unsolicited e-mail about tax account matters to individual, business, tax-exempt or other taxpayers.

Filing a tax return is the only way to apply for a tax refund; there is no separate application form. Taxpayers who wish to find out if they are due a refund from their last annual tax return filing may use the “Where’s My Refund?” interactive application on this Web site, IRS.gov. The only official IRS Web site is located here at www.irs.gov.

Audit e-Mail
Another new scam brought to IRS attention contains features not seen before by the IRS. Using a technique calculated to get almost anyone’s attention, the e-mail notifies the recipient that his or her tax return will be audited. This is the first scam of which the IRS is aware that uses this to get the victim to respond.

Unusual for a scam e-mail, it may contain a salutation in the body addressed to the specific recipient by name. Most scam e-mails seen by the IRS are sent using the same technique used by spammers, in which hundreds of thousands of messages are sent to potential victims based on Internet address. Because of the volume, the typical scam e-mail is not personalized.

This e-mail instructs the recipient to click on links to complete forms with personal and account information, which the scammers will use to commit identity theft.

This e-mail is a phony. The IRS does not send unsolicited, tax-account related e-mails to taxpayers.

Changes to Tax Law e-Mail
This bogus e-mail is addressed to businesses, accountants and “Treasury” managers. It instructs them to download information on tax law changes by clicking on a series of links to publications on businesses, estate taxes, excise taxes, exempt organizations and IRAs and other retirement plans. The IRS believes that clicking on a link downloads malware onto the recipient’s computer. Malware is malicious code that can take over the victim’s computer hard drive, giving someone remote access to the computer, or it could look for passwords and other information and send them to the scamster. There are other types of malware, as well.

The urls contained in the link are not legitimate IRS Web addresses. All IRS.gov Web page addresses begin with http://www.irs.gov/.

Paper Check Phone Call
In a current telephone scam, a caller claims to be an IRS employee who is calling because the IRS sent a check to the individual being called. The caller states that because the check has not been cashed, the IRS wants to verify the individual’s bank account number. The caller may have a foreign accent.

In reality, the IRS leaves it entirely up to the individual to choose to cash or not cash a paper check. The IRS has no business need to know, and does not ask for, bank account or similar information, except when taxpayers indicate on their tax return that they are opting for the direct electronic deposit of their refund. In that case, however, it is the individual’s responsibility to provide the IRS with the correct bank routing and account numbers on the tax return; the IRS does not contact taxpayers to verify the information.

What to Do
Anyone wishing to access the IRS Web site should initiate contact by typing the IRS.gov address into their Internet address window, rather than clicking on a link in an e-mail or opening an attachment.

Those who have received a questionable e-mail claiming to come from the IRS may forward it to a mailbox the IRS has established to receive such e-mails, phishing@irs.gov, using instructions contained in an article titled “How to Protect Yourself from Suspicious E-Mails or Phishing Schemes.” Following the instructions will help the IRS track the suspicious e-mail to its origins and shut down the scam. Find the article by visiting IRS.gov and entering the words “suspicious e-mails” into the search box in the upper right corner of the front page.

Those who have received a questionable telephone call that claims to come from the IRS may also use the phishing@irs.gov mailbox to notify the IRS of the scam.

The IRS has issued previous warnings on scams that use the IRS to lure victims into believing the scam is legitimate. More information on identity theft, phishing and telephone scams using the IRS name, logo or spoofed (copied) Web site is available on this Web site. Enter the terms “phishing,” “identity theft” or “e-mail scams” into the search box in the upper right corner of the front page.

This article is a bit off the cuff but I cannot stand seeing what is happening.

The people of our country truly worry me. Voting for the President of the United States is a serious issue and not an entertainment piece. For beginners, I am tired of hearing irrational and apparent uneducated persons' accusing George Bush of everything. The number #1 primary duty of our president is to protect the people. "Commander in Chief" Congress is the blame for most issues and believe it or not, a lot of it begins in your particular state and cities.

How could any rational American whom loves his/her country even consider electing Hillary Clinton, who does not even have experience in managing a corner deli or Barack Obama who has no traditional values and is a true socialist bordering communist.

You cannot like a candidate for one or two ideas because they place certain attention getters only to get voters while they seek a different agenda. Look at them in a whole. I hear people crying about the soldiers we have unfortunately lost during this Iraq war. God Bless they and God will. I respect each soldier as they have more guts and courage to keep the same people safe who are silently ruining this great country. Let us not forget all the soldiers who have died to get us to where we are right now. This country was founded under God with traditional laws and values. Lets respect the ones who have spilled his/her blood & guts to keep America on path and not elect someone who will downgrade this great nation.

Think not just of yourselves but think of your country. America is a capitalist country and it is our duty to aid the world. America rose up quickly and we did it through God and Courage. Let's not throw that all away. I encourage everyone to vote but know who you are voting for. This country needs a general Patton at the front. In case anyone has not noticed, there is not a democratic party these days. The Republican Party is for the people and traditional values while the Democratic Party has abandoned America. They have gone so liberal and Anti-American. Look at there agenda. Wake Up America! We owe it to our children. Thank you.

How to put a Blogger Blog on to your Plug-In Profit Site

You may know already that adding content to your Plug-In Profit site regularly will help your search engine rankings, especially if that content is fresh, original content.If you are not sure how to add new pages to your website an easy way to add content is by posting regularly to your blog. As long as your blog is hosted on your site rather than at blogspot, every post you make to your site will count as content.For example my blog is http://www.tntsuccess.com/blog is hosted on my site and the blog you are reading now, but it was originally hosted by blogspot and I still post and make changes via blogspot.So how do you go about doing this? I have put together some step by step instructions below:
Open a new blogging account at Blogger if you don't have one already. It's free by the way.
Follow the instructions to create your blog. Use a classic template.
Login into your WebEpanel e.g. http://www.tntsuccess.com/menu (replace tntsuccess.com with your own domain) using your Host4Profit username and password.
Click on "File Manager"
Scroll to the bottom of the page and type the word "blog" inside the "Create directory" box then click the "create directory" button.
You have now created a sub directory on your site, so when you move your blogger blog to your site it will be published at the URL http://www.tntsuccess.com/blog (again replace tntsuccess.com with your domain)
Go back to Blogger and click on the "Settings" tab for your blog
Click on the Publishing Link
If you see the Hint "if you want to publish to an external FTP server you will need to set Blog readers to anybody and use a classic template" then you will need to follow Blogger's instructions to do this
Click on the "Switch to FTP" settings
Fill in the boxes as follows:
FTP Server = your domain e.g. homebiz-direct.com
Blog URL = what I said in #6 above e.g. http://www.tntsuccess.com/blog
FTP Path = /username-www/blog/ - replace username with your Host4Profit username
Blog Filename = index.html
Feed Filename = atom.xml

A Group called: *UNITED FULFILLMENT BUREAU* is a FRAUD

They advertise by telling you to fill out a free short application to determine eligibility for grants. It sounds great. They actually told me that I had been qualified for a $5,000.00 grant. I spoke to an agent named Kelly Pearson. She is quoted as saying, "it is free money. why not get it before someone does"?

I was wise enough to have this "Kelly" call a third party to tell her the same mumbo-jumbo while my friend was at work. To get through to my friend, you are prompted with a message telling you that conversation may be taped. Nevertheless, she called and re-assured her that I was qualified for a $5,000.00 grant immediately and once I begin the process they will help me determine how many other grants I qualify for.

IF YOU SEE THIS AD - RUN!!!

The kicker is the cost: $299.95

She reminds you that you are already qualified for $5,000.00
I questioned her on all this and basically and directly asked her, "How is this possible?

She responded that the money is paid to underwriters who have all this information at their hands. She told you could possibly do your own research but they are on a fast track program. She promises 3 to 4 month's and I will have a check that I do not have to pay back.

This occured on May 29, 2007. I paid the money and it was three months later but not to receive any checks, it was just until I received an application. I filed the appplication and still have not received anything. Forget about a check. I never even received a letter. NOTHING! Finito! Zilch!

I, of course, have kept professional but also have logged thirteen - (13) calls with them. One of the latest responses was they are not responsible for the U.S mail. For $300.00 they better be a little responsible. I mean at least spend $0.65 and get a delivery confirmation. You just robbed someone of $300.00. Be considerate and at least spend $0.65 so your letter can be tracked.

At any rate, she then told me they could email it to me. I agreed but added I would also like the hard copy.

Guess What? I never received either. I called two weeks later and still have never had my calls returned. That is another issue. They screen every call. You will never call there and get a live person. You have to leave a message and they return your call. I would have left probably 100 messages but 85% of the time you call you are not able to leave a message because their mailbox is full. FULL. What the _ell is that?

The only good thing out of this is I get to warn hard-working persons like yourselves. I began on the internet by researching for the most proven and qualified home business programs on the web. I believe we have done a thorough job. Even though it seems like there is a lot of PIPS sites, there is a reason for that. If you have a disciplined budget, not expecting to get rich overnight or quit your job, and have some patience, there is no doubt that PIPS is my number#1 choice:

Imagine being one month in since beginning your
hard worked website and you have only received one hundred visitors.
One month feels like one year and none of the advertising techniques
you are using seem to be working.

Forget about the hope to make enough money to at least cover what you
originally spent. No, it is far worse, you have to come up with the
money to stay in the second month and you haven't earned a dime. What are you
thinking? Do you feel scammed? Are you already losing positive
emotions?

Or maybe things are not that bad depending on expectations. You may be
getting a steady stream of traffic, and possibly pulling in a few
bucks. But depending on your expectations, the money still isn't
rolling in like you dreamed. You have read about all those people
earning thousands a week and becoming millionaires practically
overnight but now you begin thinking it was all lies.

You find yourself becoming negative and getting discouraged. After all,
this was your dream and it was just another hope gone busted. You begin
letting go of your dream, growing disgusted thinking you will always
have to keep the job you despise.

You may begin finding more entertaining things to do than sit at your
computer and work. You go back to the old ways before you became
inspired to take control of your own life and make self-employment on
the internet happen. Perhaps you begin to watch TV, surf the internet,
play with your kids. Before you know it, you have given up on yourself
and any chances for your own home business.

For What? ... Because it wasn't handed to you. You would rather go to
work daily to make someone else rich while you complain repetitively
than to truly give it a realistic effort.

Every business takes time to build. Let me say that again;
every business takes time to build. You just gave up on something that
never had a valid chance.

Well, stop! ... you started down the path to failure the moment you
start thinking about giving up. Albert Einstein says, "Imagination is

The truth is, positive thinking is far more powerful than knowledge.
Don't set yourself up for failure. Make realistic goals and not
longshot hopes. A very high percentage of people never do manage to
earn a serious income online. And the reason is quite simple: they give
up. They stop trying. They set themselves up to fail before ever
starting. They decide that it all seems too difficult, and they go back
to their steady low paying job they hate.

The price of success by Norman Vincent Peale is; dedication, hard work,
imagination, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see
happen.

So, how do you avoid getting to the negative stage where you just want
to quit? You lose all your ambition believing that you really tried
when you in fact, did not.

First - Realize this is not a "get rich quick" scheme. This is much
better than that. This is real, a business. You are the boss now. Some
people find they are not cut out to be the boss. In this case,
self-employment is not for you because you are the boss and nobody is
there to push you but yourself.

Remember, as a self-employed business owner, you may have to act as
boss and worker. You cannot believe all those claims about making money
by sitting on the couch. Maybe some people have managed that, but I've
never met any! If you want your home business to be a success, you will
have to work, put in valuable time, and provide relentless
effort.

You will have to work in the field and on the phone. People don't hire
secretaries until they can afford to. This hard work is what will
really make you proud someday. You must stick through the mud, but in
the end, when you succeed, there is no more gratifying feeling. You' ll
be singing, "I did it my way" by Frank Sinatra.

Clear a workspace in your home as if you were at your office. If you
have more than one computer, designate one as your 'work computer'.
This will help you stay organized. It will also mean that every time
you sit down at your workspace, your mind will start to recognize that
now is the time to start thinking about your business.

In your workspace, make sure that everything you might need
is close at hand. If you suffer from procrastination, make sure you
have everything before you start. If you are constantly getting up and
down from your computer, you will never get anything done.

Remember, you are home, but not for relaxation. Home is now your
workplace as well. At least for the time being, until you begin growing
and taxes accumulate, then you realize the time has come to move from home
to a real office. Trust me, this is a memorable day with a proud
feeling of success.

Second - Set yourself a timetable and strict budget. Start work early
just as you would if you had to report to work. Do not take the day off
for recreation or get caught up watching television. These are bad
habits that can be difficult to break.

Get yourself into a routine. Set up your monthly budget and
do not over extend it, no matter what. This means that if the
temptation to give up does arrive or spend money that doesn't exist in
the budget, you will already be mentally prepared to shut down these
negative, destroying emotions.

Remember, we are emotional beings. If you learn to always think with
your I/E, things will go your way. I - standing for Intellect and E -
standing for emotions. If you let your E control your I, serious
problems are in your near future.

Third - Make sure your family members realize that you are working.
This is not a game and you are not home as a nanny. If you are not
taken serious by your loved ones, it will be hard to convince yourself.
Sit your wife down and explain to her your goals. It is hard to expect
anyone's support if you are not honest with them.

Remember, failing is not trying. Trying is not giving up without a
fight. That is why it is so important to maintain a budget so you do
not waste money. Approach openly and with confidence but remain
analytical and methodical to get the most out of your efforts.

Make sure slowly that this is for you. Some people need a boss to push
them. If your only goal is to make millions and become a playboy/girl,
then save yourself the torment and keep to the road you are already on.

A positive family can also be a useful tool to support you and keep you
from giving up. Admitting failure is never an easy thing to do. If you
are the only person involved, it is easier to make excuses and just
move on. However, the idea of having to explain it to your friends and
family could be a powerful incentive to keep working! Everything
helps...

In the end, it comes down to painting a real and positive picture prior
to starting. I recommend beginning by creating a professional business
plan just like you would for an offline business for any bank, grant,
partnership, etc. In addition, it is always a good thing to have in
case you ever want to apply for a loan or grant. Before any loan /
grant officer even considers accepting an application from you, they
will request a thorough business plan with future planning and goals.

Next, you have to treat your home business like you would a real job.
If you are seriously thinking about quitting your day job, you first
need to be earning a reliable and steady income. You can only get that
by putting in the work.

Needless to say, quitting your job is not recommended. Plan out your
available time and begin your business part-time if you must. Be
positive but also be smart and realistic. Sometimes a business online
or offline will take more than two - (2) years before an actual profit
is felt.

This is not for everyone but for those who it is, don't give up on
yourself. Hang in there and don't leave before "the miracle happens".

Q. I hear so much about people who started selling on eBay and eventually turned it into their full time business. Is it really possible to build a profitable business just selling junk on eBay? -- Alex K.

ANSWER: If Fred Sanford were alive today, Alex, I’m sure he’d be earning his ripple money by selling quality junk on eBay. While it’s also true that one man’s junk is another man’s treasure (I have a garage full of treasure to prove this point), your chances of building a profitable business selling “junk” on eBay (or anywhere else, for that matter) are slim to none. While there is a lot of junk/treasure for sale on eBay, it is typically sold by individuals who have “I break for yardsales!” bumper stickers on their cars and not serious business people. For serious entrepreneurs, however, selling on eBay can be a good way to start a new business if you are willing to put in the time and energy required to make the business a success.

eBay is also a good option for existing businesses to expand their reach by selling online. Everyone from small used car dealers to giant companies like Dell Computers have discovered that eBay is an excellent place to hawk their wares simply due to the huge number of folks who visit the eBay site on a daily basis. Nowhere else on earth will you find such a large pool of potential customers. Consider these numbers: There are nearly 69 million eBay users who spend $59 million every day. Most eBay sellers are home-based businesses that sell everything from porcelain dolls to locks of Elvis’ hair to $100,000 Mercedes convertibles to $5 million dollar vacation homes. Every minute of every day more than 150 new items are listed for sale, more than 500 bids are placed, and seven new people register to shop on eBay. At any given moment, eBay is conducting some 12 million auctions, divided into about 18,000 different categories About two million new items are offered for sale every day, and 62 million registered users scour the site to find them. As any eBay Power Seller (a seller who sells a minimum of $10,000 in goods per month) will tell you, building a profitable eBay business takes hard work and requires long hours, and often the financial rewards do not make it worth the effort spent. When it comes down to the mechanics of it all, running an eBay business is no different than running a brick and mortar business. You still have the same considerations regarding product selection, inventory purchasing, product pricing, inventory management, order processing, fulfillment, customer service, etc. You must also consider the legal and accounting aspects of the business. Just because you’re selling online does not mean that Uncle Sam won’t expect his piece of the pie. Revenue generated by an eBay business is just as reportable and taxable as revenue generated from a brick and mortar store. And if you sell to customers within your state you may also be responsible for collecting city, county or state sales tax.

One of the biggest obstacles to building a successful eBay business may be the stiffness of the competition. Many sellers sell identical items and the price wars often get ugly, but that’s to be expected in a free market place, which is exactly what eBay is. You may be the only store in town that’s selling that one of a kind, custom made just for you, broke the mold after they made it, Dale Earnhart Memorial Bobble Head Action Figure (Earnhart fans would string me up if I called it a Doll), but do a quick search on eBay and you’ll probably find a hundred others just like it. So, can you build a profitable business selling on eBay? Certainly, thousands of people have done it and so can you. Here are a few tips to help get you started. Sell Quality Products Don’t sell junk! Leave the knick-knacks and fake leather jackets to the less informed.

You should offer only quality products at a fair price. Research The Competition Once you have your product in mind, don’t invest a dime on inventory until you have spent some time on eBay to see what the competition is doing. If you want to sell motorcycle helmets, for example, you should look at current auctions to see how many others are selling similar helmets and what prices they are charging. This step is vital since you may discover that you can’t compete with current sellers on price or there is simply no market for what you have to offer. Start Slowly Many people believe that the more items they have for sale on eBay the better. They will invest thousands in inventory and spent hundreds on listing fees (yes, eBay charges you to list items for sale and collects a final fee if the item sells). Those are the folks that usually end up with ten thousand Ginsu knives forever in their garage. Test, Test, Test A fair portion of eBay auctions result in no sales, so it’s best to test the waters before jumping in with both feet. List a few items and see how they sell. If an item doesn’t sell, list it at least twice more. Some items might not sell the first time, but may the second or third, then sell steadily from then on. If an item gets no bids the first time, consider adjusting your price or your terms. If an item sells well, keep it in stock and then experiment with another item.
