Do you have what it takes to be an e-entrepreneur?

These days, it seems like everyone wants to work
from home and make money on the Internet. But
before you even turn on your computer, the first
question you have to ask yourself is whether
you’re cut out for this kind of work.

The fact is, building a home-based business isn’t
for everyone. Some people like the commute. They
really do enjoy having a boss who tells them what
to do, and they like the routine of working
nine-to-five for an ordinary salary that can
barely pay the mortgage. Personally, I think
they’re nuts.

More reasonably, there are people who are
concerned about the risk of starting up their own
business. They’re not sure it’s worth the
investment of time and money, and they’re scared
of the responsibility that comes with running
their own company. They wonder if there is
another way to escape the rat race.

I’m sure there is. You could win the lottery or
wait for your Aunt Sue to keel over and leave you
her condo. Or maybe you could sit down with a pen
and paper and draw the blueprint for "The Next
Big Thing". Anything can happen... Right?

For me, what happened was creating a successful,
self-running Internet marketing system. It didn’t
happen without effort. It didn’t happen without
at least some initial investment of both time and
money and, of course, it doesn’t happen now
without me making sure that the taxes are filed
and the paperwork is done. But it happened.

I’m my own boss. I work from home according to my
own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my
business makes. If you’re prepared to give an
e-business the time, the work and the money it
needs to get started and get growing, it can
happen for you too.

Repeat Business is Essential to Success

copyright © Joseph Wehner

Repeat customers are the backbone of every successful business. It takes far less effort producing sales amongst customers you have already sold to. This is reason enough to explain the critical importance of an auto-responder for your online business. With satisfied customers comes free advertising, as well. Word of mouth may quite possibly be the best advertising both for online and offline businesses. Anytime someone presents experience on a matter, such as a past customer, their referral on your product becomes one of high quality to other potential customers or clients. Referrals from past customers translate sales a high percentage of the time. Creating sales is such a competitive market where customers are starving for guidance. I believe it is accurate in identifying a satisfied customer becomes a customer for life.

Do you have a professional auto-responder?
An auto-responder such as getresponse.com is essential for an online business. Your auto-responder provides you a self-built opt in list of potential customers who showed interest in your product. However, even more importantly, you can broadcast a special, new sale, new program, etc. to all your prospects at one time by emailing them through your auto-responder. In addition, this service always replies to your customers. It is a huge time-saver.
Do you have what it takes to offer good customer service?
Good customer service could be the key in differentiating your business from your competitors. Here are some important aspects to developing good, quality, and professional customer service.

1. Good customer service begins with the hiring process. Be open to pay persons per experience, attitude, and person to person skills. Offering incentives can create a competitiveness keeping employees more interested. Provide a nice atmosphere where persons want to work. When someone enjoys the work they perform, it no longer is an inconvenient job, it becomes a hobby.
2. Know your business and keep up with newer innovations to remain competitive in your industry. Good budgeting is necessary and helps determine how money is spent wisely as opposed to waste. Get to know everything you can about what you do. Always be on top of your game.
Favorite Quote: The more I learn, the more I realize I don’t know.
Provide your customers well with professional customer service, superior product / service, specials, newer innovations, and honor guarantees and warranties. As we spoke earlier, a good auto-responder becomes very handy here. They alone depict excellent customer service. If you are selling products, make sure they are top line. If you are referring affiliates, make sure they are solid and for real. Whatever you want your customers to buy from you, make sure you do or would use the very same product. Establish yourself as trustworthy and customers will buy what you prompt them to buy. Always be fair and work with your customers.
3. Do not become greedy. One of the best ways to chase off good customers is price increases. Of course, we can’t control inflation but always remain competitive. Always perform analysis of your competitors. No matter how good your customer service they do not want to feel they are being taken advantage of.

I hope this article demonstrates the importance of repeat customers to any business. We tend to put all our resources into making the sale and forget maintenance after the sale. The maintenance process is the strength of your business. Provide and perform everything to the best of your ability and business as you know it will be successful.

How Do You Live Your Dash?

I love this poem. It makes me think off what is truly important in life. Read here:

copyright © Joseph Wehner

I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend
He referred to the dates on his tombstone
from the beginning... to the end

He noted that first came his date of birth
and spoke of the following date with tears,
But he said, "What mattered most of all
was the dash between those years."

For that dash represents all the time
that he spent alive on earth,
And now only those who loved him
know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not how much we own;
The Cars... The House... The Cash...
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard...
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
that can still be re-arranged.

If we could just slow down enough
to consider what is true and real,
And always try to understand
the way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger,
and show appreciation more,
And love the people in our lives,
like we have never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect
and more often wear a smile,
Remembering that this special dash
might only last a while.

So when your eulogy's being read
with your life's actions to rehash,
Would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent your dash?

So be strong and don't allow adversities to bring you down
as we always begin to slip
Recover with the care... Love... and grace of God,
and use your dash on God's journey and peaceful trip.
